As a fan of all genders of music, Anwar has companied the rhythmic beat of his native festival called Junkanoo, with the silk lyric format of popular music, while still painting Bahamian story lines, and the roughness of rock and roll to appeal to a larger audience.
Anwar has worked with a number of talented singers/songwriters/ and producers in the past. But for this album he enlisted the services of multi-platinum producer Fred Rosser. Fred has produced for artist like Bobby Brown, KC and JOJO, movie scored the film prison song staring Mary J Blige and Q-Tip, his body of work can be seen and heard world wide. Anwar was so impressed with the first song they both produced together titled (Alien in New York) that he asked Fred to executive produce the entire album with him, and he happily said yes.
This album will feature such songs like Alien in New York, Spring Break Love, and Why. Anwar has been quoted as saying" It is really the sound track of my life, and the lives of kids, just like me growing up on the Island in the mid- 80's, the way we speak and our swagger can be heard all over this record". Anwar believes that this is his best work to date. The approach was to make only singles not album fillers. In Addition to music Anwar is working on a number of great projects.
